As more and more Star Wars projects release, most of them reveal a different Jedi who somehow managed to survive Order 66, the purge of the entire Order at the end of Revenge of the Sith. While there were over 10,000 Jedi at the time of the Purge, it still feels like a significant amount survived. Not only that, but the majority of the survivors have taken an apprentice - Ahsoka is training Sabine, Kanan Jarrus (though he suffered an unfortunate fate) taught Ezra, and Luke Skywalker began an academy of his own with countless pupils. This isn't even to reference other surviving Jedi like Cal Kestis, whose fate remains unknown during this era. The number of existing Force-sensitives is slowly growing and reaching a troublesome height.
