We have a full view of Nintendo Switch 2 games now the April 2 Direct has come and gone — including a number of exclusives and launch titles, and that all-important release date for the console itself.

It follows months of slim pickings following the console’s initial hardware-focused reveal in January, which also saw developers and publishers holding fire of their involvement until now.

The following Switch 2 games list explains the exclusives, third-party games, and confirmed developers and publishers for the console from the Switch 2’s release and beyond.

Update (April 2): Added all confirmed games following the April 2 Direct.

Switch 2 exclusive games list

First, let’s look at the exclusive games coming to the Switch 2, whether that’s from Nintendo itself, or third-parties:

  • Mario Kart World — This exclusive launch title has one big titular twist — each course is set amongst one continuous open world that you can also go off-piste and freely explore. Combine that support for up to 24 racers at once, and this is literally the biggest Mario Kart yet.
  • Drag x Drive — This three-on-three wheelchair basketball game uses both JoyCons for unique, tactile controls when it arrives summer 2025 as a download title.
  • Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment — Koei Tecmo and Nintendo are joining forces once again to tell the story of the “Imprisoning War” — the events leading up to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — sometime in 2025.
  • The Duskbloods — This FromSoftware-developed multiplayer exclusive is coming to Switch 2 sometime in 2026.
  • Kirby Air Riders — Masahiro Sakurai and HAL Laboratory is prepping a sequel to Nintendo GameCube’s Kirby Air Ride sometime in 2025.
  • Donkey Kong Banaza — This 3D Donkey Kong platformer is coming July 17 — just over a month after the Switch 2’s launch, giving us something to look forward to soon after the console’s summer rollout.
  • Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour — Is it a tutorial? Is it a game? Whatever you want to class it as, it’s not free, and since it’s designed to showcase the many hardware features of the new system — such as new mouse-like controls – it’s as exclusive as you can get.

Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and GameCube Classics games

As well as the above full exclusives, there’s a series of “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” titles, which are Switch 1 games “patched” to make the most out of the Switch 2 hardware. These are available as both “upgrade packs” if you own the Switch 1 version, or as standalone editions for the Switch 2:
