DC Comics has created many heroes over the ninety years of its existence, but few represent the company as well as the partnership between Batman and Superman. The two have been friends since the 1950s, but have showcased very different adventures, personalities and methods in their wars on villainy. However, their mutual respect has been one of the great constants in comic book history.
