Magic: The Gathering has announced many new sets that experiment with genre. At Gencon 2023, Mark Rosewater announced many new MtG sets in the near and far future of the game. Among other new planes that will be debuting, Duskmourn was introduced as a world based in modern horror, coming out after Bloomburrow sometime in 2024. Magic has often dabbled in horror, with the Phyrexians as a major example, but their premier horror plane for the longest time has been the world of Innistrad, defined by conflicts between vampires, werewolves and zombies. Duskmourn promises to be very different.
