Newcomers to the comic may know Invincible from the animated series on Prime. You’re certainly familiar with the series’ co-creator, Robert Kirkman, who brought us The Walking Dead. As part of Amazon’s Prime Day sale event, the online retailer is offering a lightning deal on the first massive compendium of Invincible that drops the price to an all-time low of $29.85. If you’re interested, grab it while it’s available, because it won’t last long.
Invincible Compendium One Deal
This sizable paperback tome includes issues 0 - 47 of the comic, which were originally collected in trade paperback volumes 1 - 9. But why put nine books on your shelf when you can have all the same content available in one? There’s no good reason, I tell ya.
Invincible is a superhero story created by Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker. It’s about Mark Grayson, a regular teenager who happens to be the son of the most powerful superhero on Earth, Omni-Man. As Mark enters his late teens, he begins to develop his own superhuman abilities and decides to follow in his father's footsteps as a superhero, taking on the name "Invincible."
But like another Prime show (that would be The Boys), Invincible is known for its violence and brutality, exploring the consequences and challenges faced by superheroes in a more realistic and mature way than the comics of yore. It’s good stuff, and this compendium is one of three that comprises the full series. If you like it, you can always come back and grab the next two.
