My Hero Academia is special because it combines the shonen and superhero genres. At its core, it is a Hero origin story, and it is set in a world where most of humanity possesses some type of power called a Quirk. The Pro Heroes use their Quirks to help people, while Villains use their Quirks to hurt others and commit crimes. Heroes may use their abilities for good, but that does not mean that some of their Quirks are not dangerous.
